The Vulnerable Warriors

Although werewolves have long been looked at as villainous monsters , Meyer’s Twilight Saga exposes the emotional vulnerability of the creatures. Since the Twilight novels are deeply romantic in nature, what works so effectively for the Saga and New Moon is that the fear and intimidation associated with its “monsters” gets stripped away to large degree by pitting vampire against a werewolf for the love of a girl. And making Bella Swan human is all the more appealing since it taps into the timeless classical elements of the “forbidden” love story.

Twilight actors Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner already bring their striking physical appeal and charismatic charm to the Twilight films. Although Pattinson joined New Moon in relatively the same shape as Twilight, Lautner had more to prove for New Moon since he worked tirelessly to add 30 pounds of muscle to his frame in order to meet the physical requirements that Jacob Black endures in New Moon. Interestingly, both Jacob and Edward are not the typical, bloodthirsty monsters that they could have been portrayed as in similar stories. Instead they both fight their true non-human natures, rebelling against them with Bella’s help. Edward is eternally beautiful and elegant but deadly. Jacob is strikingly handsome but vicious. Their conflict is much more internal than solely overtly physical, which adds involving and relatable layers to the Twilight Saga.

New Pics from on the set.

They were shooting the scene where Bella and Jessica go to the movies and Bella see these guys across the street at a bar that remind her of the night those guy attacked her and Edward saved her. She gets all crazy and Jessica yells at her because she was scared of what Bella was doing. And then that's the first time Bella hears Edward in the head!!! Yay!! I can't wait!!!

So it looks like they were shooting the other Movie scene too, I guess the one from the interview from ET on the set!!!

So this is what I heard ~ that they were on set for New Moon in italy or getting read for the cast.

From Tony Blair and Brian Clough to King of all Vampires, Michael Sheen is back in the Twilight zone

He has immortalized Tony Blair, David Frost and, most recently, legendary football manager Brian Clough on the big screen.

Now actor Michael Sheen is set to return to the realm of the firmly fictional after agreeing to play a vampire in the sequel to the blockbuster film Twilight.

Sheen, 40, who made his name with uncannily realistic portrayals of well-known figures in Oscar-winning films The Queen, Frost/Nixon and The Damned United, will get his biggest pay cheque yet, a reported £5million, to star in New Moon.

they are in Vancover to shoot scenes for New Moon...

Oh that same note- here is some pics from Forks high school...

If the set dressing that has been built at a school in Vancouver is any indication, the new set for Forks High for New Moon has been decided. A user at IMDB, The_Merc_With_A_Mouth, has posted several reports on a film being shot at her school. Increasingly, the clues point to the movie being New Moon–

Well, there’s a movie gonna be filmed at my school, but they are keeping it secret.
So far they have closed off half of the cafeteria and added giant blue pillars and they have changed the hallway lights into a light blue tint. I go to [redacted] in Vancouver Bc, exactly where it says they are filming.
Even more proof is that they are not telling any students what movie it is, which means they are trying to keep it secret(perhaps because its a big movie, like maybe, New Moon?).

Later on, she found even more proof that the movie is in fact New Moon–

Well I have further proof. They have added round tables.
Another thing they have done is add country flags in the Cafeteria.
Anyways I have 100% proof they are filming New Moon here.
There was a shirt that said “Forks High” That they put into the trophy case at the front, but when I saw, the crew member quickly hid it with a purple blanket and covered it up, then they locked the case. Its like they were… hiding something. lol.

UPDATE: Twilight-Gossip seems to have found another location where they’ll be shooting the exterior shots of Forks High in Vancouver for New Moon–take a look at her picture from today:

Chapter 7 : Repetition

Where Bella is starting to test out all the crazy stuff. To see if she can hear Edward again.

I think this part that they are shooting is where Bella and Jacob are going to test out the bikes because Jacob just got through fixing them. So they are driving along and Bella sees some of Jacob's friends cliff diving and she runs out to stop them but Jacob stops her and tells her that its something they do for fun, The (La Push Gang). So she asks Jacob to make sure they try it out soon. When its warmer.

Something along the line of that.

Bella’s truck was spotted at the set for Jacob Black’s house and garage, with two dirtbikes in the back of the truck. Twilight-Gossip captured these awesome pics and video yesterday. Looks like things are really heating up on the New Moon production near Vancouver!

On Set of La Push -New Moon

New Moon will not be shot in Volterra but in Montepulciano
Despite advertisements, anticipations and every kind of proposal from the major and the township, New Moon will be shot in Montepulciano because the locations are "more beautiful for the movie" than Volterra."
